I’m Sarah, and I’m thrilled to share the process of building our dream home. My other half, Wesley, and I are building in northeast Kansas with our pets, Annie and Walter.
Home design has always been a hobby of mine and I can’t believe it’s time to do it for real! My vision for this home is to combine classic, timeless style with personal elements to create a feeling that is as familiar as it is unique.
Castilleja is the scientific name for the wildflower known as “Indian paintbrush”, or “prairie fire”. These vibrant red, coral, or orange flowers thrive in prairies but also flourish in many wild places across the American West – like me, they are also at home on sunny mountainsides in Washington or Montana. Castilleja bring untamed beauty wherever they grow, so I couldn’t think of a better element to include in our home.
